Hello everyone!<br>The Fall-Winter Talks begin TOMORROW NIGHT, Wednesday, September 12 ("Towering Ideas" we call the series this time), and I hope you'll join us. <span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">
NEW STARTING TIME FOR TALKS: 7:30
p.m. </span><br><br>We'll
be discussing the frustrating and often dysfunctional funding system
for the arts tonight, with representatives of arts-funding foundations
and local artists and nonprofit activists. This is co-sponsored by
Independent Arts & Media, part of their two-week long Expo for the
Artist and Musician.
<br><br>Next week is the inauguration of our new 3rd Wednesday series
on "Art & Politics" when local muralist extaordinaire Mona Caron
presents a one-woman show of her murals, her illustrations, and talks
about the fascinating connections of art and politics that run through
it all.
<br><br>In two weeks, on the last Wed. of September, our Nature in the
City series recommences with a wide-ranging discussion of the water
infrastructure of San Francisco, with a particular look at the water
under our feet that we tend to have forgotten...
