The Desire Project, Directed and Facilitated by Judy Cohen, is part of
a four month residency at Mama Calizo's Voice Factory in Dwayne
Calizo's space (of famed EPI at New College). The project is exploring
interdisciplinary collaboration on the theme of Desire. The space is a
beautiful theater (with lots of cool nooks and cranny's for projection
and sound) on Mission and 11th (where the old Jon Simms used to be
housed).

<br>We are exploring the theme of desire through a range of artistic
mediums. At this point we really need someone tech savvy since we are
experimenting with sound recordings, video design and projection, and
lighting. <br>
<br> I am looking for someone who wants to be involved and give
creative input as well as a tech expert. We are using: Video, digital
images, alternative lighting and performance. The work is process
oriented with a culmination of a performance and/or installation. We
are having lots of fun exploring and plan to have a performative
installation the weekend of May 15th-17tth.
<br>
<br>Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesday from 3:30-6:30pm. I would
prefer one person committed from now until mid May, but there is a
possibility to combine a few people if your schedules don't permit full
attendance.

<br>There are 6 of us who have been working since mid January and we
are now at the stage where we would love a technical junkie/artist to
join us.
<br>
<br>Are you interested and/or available or know someone who is? This is
a volunteer project. We have no funds at this point but I do plan on
paying someone to run lights/sound/video during the actual show and
tech week.
