Greetings from independent Arts & Media!

Here are a few quick updates on our work on behalf of free
expression, civic discourse and cultural participation, including:

-- a worker's co-op conference by one of our newest fiscal sponsorees
-- a groovy video of the 8th Annual Expo for the Artist & Musician.

See below for details. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone
who would benefit from seeing it.

Best wishes,

The Indy Arts Volunteers

    1) EXPO VIDEO!

We're still catching our breath after the overwhelming task
of staging the Eighth Annual Expo for the Artist & Musician.
We will have a full update on how the event worked in the
coming weeks. In short, however, there was music, dancing
and singing, workshops, antics, PEOPLE of every description,
    and connections in abundance.

You can view a short video about the event, by SomArts Media
mogul George Aguilar, below. Thanks George!

    2) SECOND NoBAWC WORKER'S CO-OP CONFERENCE! Sept. 29-30

    @ La Pena Cultural Center
    3105 Shattuck Avenue
    Berkeley, CA 94705

    INFO + REGISTER: http://www.nobawc.org/conference/
COST: $40 per person (group discounts available, space is limited)

    Workshops! Skillshares! Speakers! Networking!

    From the NoBAWC Web site:

"Whether you're a worker in a NOBAWC member co-op, want to
start your own co-op or are interested in what a co-op is, this
conference is for you. Come learn about co-ops, the issues they
face, and how to further the co-op movement in the larger social
    justice movement."

NOTE: Indy Arts is excited and honored to announce that we now
provide fiscal sponsorship to No Boss! -- the official NoBAWC
newsletter. We greatly admire their commitment to civic
participation, cultural independence and local self-reliance.
Please spread the word about this amazing event!
