[Indyarts] Tonight: "The Future of Education" concludes

Tune into KUSF tonight, Thursday, May 10, at 10:30pm, for the conclusion of Shaping San Francisco's inquiry into "Learning & Teaching: The Future of Education."

Discussion topics include democracy in the classroom, the disruption of the student-teacher relationship by the standardization movement, and a push for privatization that panelists consider an assault on public schools and the very idea of "the public" in America today. 

Tonight's program features audience-driven dialogue with panelists Will Grant of BLAST (Build Leadership through Adult Student Training), Lowell High School teacher and union shop steward Ken Tray, Lisa Schiff of Parents for Public Schools and home schooling advocate Karen Allen.
