PANELISTS INCLUDE:
-- Daniel Plotnick (http://www.hi-beam.net/mkr/dp/dp-bio.html)
For the past fourteen years Plotnick has been an integral
part of the San Francisco film community, as well as the
underground film scene nationally. His 18 films include
"Swinger's Serenade," "I, Socky," "Skate Witches," "Pillow
Talk," and "I'm Not Fascinating," about San Francisco's
notorious nerd-rock band the Icky Boyfriends. Plotnick is
also a champion of Super 8 filmmaking, and has screened at
museums, film and music festivals and more in Europe and
the United States.
-- Sandy Clark (http://www.americanscary.com)
Alameda-based writer/producer Sandy Clark has worked for
NASA, Visual Imagination, the Star Wars Insider, and
Sci-Fi Universe. His film "American Scary" is a unique
survey and documentary on the surviving late-night horror
TV hosts of America (Elvira and her ilk). He's also a
nonprofit and Internet advocate, works for the Alameda
Journal, and full-time father of young Emma Maxwell Clark.
-- Alicia Renee (http://sfindie.com)
The San Francisco Indie Fest has changed the local film
scene by fiercely advocating for local and independent
cinema. What's more, they've backed their idealism with
an amazing series of annual specialty film festivals
covering documentaries, sci-fi and horror, music and
more.
