It all started this past January, when the good folks
at Shaping San Francisco contacted Indy Arts about a
new speaker and conversation series. Each session of
Spring Talks 2006 was been a revelation, bringing
overflow audiences of intelligent, active folks who
ask questions, raise points, expand the dialog, and
help shatter the standard Q&A format of most speaker
and panel events.
Next up is Fall Talks 2006, a new series of six dialogue
events on topics ranging from Sexual Freedom and Trash &
Toxics to Frog Restoration and the new South American left.
In a time when big decisions are often made without
community input, Fall Talks 2007 aims to open doors and
open the conversation about the issues that define life
in the Bay Area and beyond.
Fall Talks 2006 is presented by Shaping San Francisco,
CounterPulse, City Lights Foundation, Nature in the City
and Independent Arts & Media.
