	Artistic Director Marcia Treidler brings master Brazilian 
	artists together with her dynamic ensemble to share the 
	traditional Afro-Brazilian art forms of capoeira,

	The most important independent theater collective in Peru, 
	Grupo Cultural Yuyachkani explores politics, theatrical 
	experimentation and indigenous performing culture. "Santiago"
	deals with Peru's truth and reconciliation hearings after
	two decades of internal armed conflict. Yuyachkani is the
	recipient of Peru's National Human Rights Award in 2000.

	- "Representa! The New World of Hip-Hop" is an original work 
	of theater offering a new perspective on US-Cuba relations
	through the artistic languages of hip-hop, theater and 
	live Cuban music. By Bay Area Latino poet and performance 
	artist Paul S. Flores, with Cuban rapper Julio Cardenas. 
	Directed by Obie Award winner Danny Hoch.
 
	- "NiNO MAiZ/Corn Child" is a collage of stories distilled
	from the writings/experiences of children and youth in 
	Mexico City and Richmond, California. Performed and directed
	by Mexico's leading alternative theatre company, Me xich co 
	Teatro,	in collaboration with Iron Triangle Theater (ITT) of 
	Richmond. 
	
	- "Superacion" validates and gives voice to the experiences 
	of a community of people within Latin America, the reasons 
	they left home, their journey to the United States and what 
	they found when they got here. Directed by Eddy Armando
	of Colombia's Teatro Experimental La Mama and created by 
	members of La Casa Cultural Colombiana.
