   You want to sample something in a video or song, borrow an image
   for an art collage, or use a vintage film clip in your act -- and
   you wonder if the estate of Groucho Marx can sue you.

   Come find our what's "fair game" and what's off-limits. When can
   you use work produced by other people and other organizations?
   How do you stay out of trouble? What are the limits and
   possibilities?

   workshops is to further media education and film appreciation

    benefit of the community. Attorney David Morales will take you
    through the steps of setting up a non-profit corporation. You
    will learn about the various filings and fees associated with

    Revenue Service, and the Attorney General.

   This exhibit explores the "visual shorthand" of comic art
   and how speed lines and other graphics are used to convey
   emotions and ideas. Exhibit runs till August 11, 2008.

    How do we coexist with the ever-present possibility of disaster?
    How do we react to a social climate that reminds us to be
    perpetually suspicious and very much afraid?  The artists in The
    Sky is Falling, a multi-media art exhibition, suggest we are
    responding by arming ourselves (both literally and figuratively),
    using beauty to express outrage, and at times fiddling while
    Rome burns.
