Tonight we kick off the Eighth Annual Expo for the Artist & Musician
with a double header at the Variety Preview Room, 582 Market St. in
San Francisco.
Oh, and did we mention? It's all FREE.
Variety is a *very* plush little screening room right off the lobby
of a fancy deco downtown building. So check this one out, it's sure
to be a treat in every respect.
The program starts at 6 p.m. with a film financing workshop featuring
Henry S. Rosenthal, producer of "The Devil & Daniel Johnston,"
includes a no-host bar at 7:30pm for schmoozing, and at 8 p.m.
launches into the "Urban Cinema Showcase," featuring a program of
local shorts about "race, identity, music and gritty love," featuring
the BAVC youth program, SF Women's Film Fest, CounterCorp Film Fest
and more.
