from unnoticed details of graffiti to shoes hanging on a telephone
wire, the light glinting off of buildings at sunset, lines of
people standing, waiting for their morning coffee, a plant
growing through the cracks in the sidewalk, this juried exhibit
will feature oil paintings, monoprints and etchings, photography
and mixed media.

The Cartoon Art Museum and The Consulate General of Israel to
the Pacific Northwest are proud to present Israeli children's
book illustrator, cartoonist, editor and Graphic Novel author
Rutu Modan for a presentation and book-signing on Thursday,
October 18th from 7pm to 9pm. Modan will be speaking about
and signing her first full-length graphic novel, Exit Wounds,
a powerful tale of a man's search for his father, who is
presumed to be killed in a suicide bombing.
