"Get Out of Jail Free" will explore themes related to imprisonment as a metaphor for illness, and for other issues of struggle, injustice and power relationships in political, social, environmental and personal arenas. The show will consist of numerous, perhaps hundreds of small works. Both Visual Aid artists, and artists & friends from the larger community are welcome to submit work for the exhibition. Please feel free to pass this invitation on to friends. Media: Open to all 2D and 3D media. Visual artists who work in digital media, painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, mixed-media, etc. are encouraged to submit work. Size Limitation: 8.5" x 11" Number: One artwork per person will be included in the exhibition (provided the artist follows the guidelines.) Additional works may be included, at the discretion of the curators.
