Over fifty performance mavericks unite to benefit their favorite
arts organization-- CounterPULSE! Pushing the envelope of music
and performance, Rock 4 Art features excerpts from Carrie Baum's
"Exit Sign: A Rock Opera" Jessica Fudim's "Cave In Cave Out," and
the hit musical "Venus Christ;" amazing antics by the performance
artist/interpretive club dancing troupe Borts Minorts, burlesque
beauties the Twilight Vixens; edgy avant-garde dance by MJ Paul;
and music by the 50 Guitar Orchestra, Dyspecific and The Judea
Eden Band in an evening hosted by Kristen Jones of Boylesque fame.

Creep Show scripts should be directly adapted from the old
EC comic series or other horror style comics, however TV
shows like 'Tales From the Crypt' or 'Tales From the Darkside'
will be considered. (Definitely NO 'Twilight Zone', 'Outer
Limits' or Hitchcock-style stuff please!!)

The Center for Cultural Innovation has recently launched a
new grants opportunity called Investing in Artists, which
provides grants in two categories: 1) Artistic Equipment &
Tools; and 2) Presenting & Marketing Work. Through a
competitive application process conducted over three initial
rounds of funding, a combination of planning grants up to
$5,000 each, and implementation grants up to $15,000 each,
will be awarded to California artists over two years.
