Message-ID: <48584789.4020106@theintersection.org> Arts Forum, It is City Budget time. Please join us in attending the Public Comment session on Thursday June 19th at 5 PM at City Hall Room 250! *Advocating for the Role that Art plays in our City is essential to ensuring ongoing public support for your work.* In particular, The Arts Commission is facing cuts that could amount to $620,000 or more. Please ask the Board of Supervisors to continue their leadership and support of important at-risk neighborhood based programs in our City. Ask them to continue the $500,000 line item that resulted from the work of the Arts Task Force, and ask them to restore $120,000 that has been cut from arts and community programs. The Arts Commission must be able to continue this good work. Please come and thank the members of the budget committee for their support of art in our communities and ask that these important programs serving the most under-served people in our City are maintained!
